AAC in the Cloud: a free online AAC conference

Communication is important.

(Feel free to roll your eyes at that one, it is kind of a 'duh' comment.)

Communication means expression and connection and engagement. Those things are pretty important too.

And that's why AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) matters so much. Helping a person who struggles to speak find his or her voice is an incredible undertaking, and it's something we're proud to be part of.

But there are a lot of incredible people on this same journey, and we want to support them too.

So CoughDrop is hosting a completely FREE online conference called AAC in the Cloud which will be held June 27-28, 2017. This event if for anyone and everyone connected to AAC. Whether you are an AAC communicator, a parent, a speech and language pathologist, an assistive technology specialist, a teacher or a friend of an AAC user, we invite you to come talk AAC this summer so we can all grow together as an AAC community.

While CoughDrop is sponsoring the conference, this is not a program focused on CoughDrop (although there will be some sessions to get to know the app better). There will be MANY presenters sharing their insights and experiences with AAC and looking at communication from different angles.

(Here's just a sampling and more information will be released in the weeks to come.)

The point is, if you love AAC, use AAC to communicate, work with AAC, or are just curious about AAC this conference is meant for you.

Register for AAC in the Cloud through this link, and watch for updates and insights on our Facebook and Twitter pages and on the AAC in the Cloud website as we get closer to June.
