Autism & Communication -- Thoughts as we close World Autism Month

Apr 25, 2023

April is coming to a close, and that means the worldwide, streamlined focus on Autism understanding and inclusion will move quietly out of the spotlight.

We should all remember that no matter what month it is, Autism understanding and inclusion are ALWAYS the right things to do.

As a company focused on communication and in particular AAC, it is obvious that we feel strongly about the importance of speech and connections.  Everyone should have a way to express their likes, dislikes, frustrations, excitement, feelings, preferences, opinions, perspective and anything else.  For many Autistic individuals, AAC is a powerful tool in making that happen.

As we come to the end of World Autism Month, may we all commit to better support and encourage communication in all of its forms.  May we seek out information to help us better accept and engage with the Autistic people in our lives.  And may we all remember that every person has a voice and every voice deserves the chance to be heard.

You might consider printing or sharing this FREE poster focused on Autism & Communication to spread the word about Autism acceptance and to encourage ALL forms of communication.
